Trained as a sculptor, Baldino's early video work involved the construction and disassembly of ordinary household objects in order to describe the mutable space, or "grey area," between what constitutes, or doesn't constitute, an object.
She explores the intangible boundaries between the material and metaphysical world by mounting large-scale video installations, which address such topics as perception, memory, and other scientific phenomenon.
Her recent work represents a continuation of these concepts, but is more abstract in nature.
