Sarah Beddington is a British artist who works with painting, video and installation. While much of her video work depicts non-domestic, publicly accessible spaces, she does not attempt to exoticize or glamorize them.

Rather, she records unique social and aesthetic circumstances, which manifest themselves in a highly accidental and contingent manner. Under her unwavering gaze, everyday occurrences are transformed into a cunning theatre of the 'non-happening.'

None of the work has been staged, and typically takes shape as a single continuous shot that runs for approximately five minutes or less.
