Toni Crabb is a Barcelona-based artist, who is primarily working in drawing, but who also uses video as a means of exploring the temporal aspects of line.

Over the period of six months last year, she made a documentation of butterflies in a tropical arboretum located in Empuriabrava, Spain. Although the resulting video depicts the perfect moment of transformation when a butterfly emerges from its chrysalis, the sketchbook of drawings that she produced while waiting for the butterflies to emerge, also represents a study in the metaphorical implications of waiting and expectation.
